Due to unforeseen circumstances our Autumn 1 newsletter will be delayed in going out and will be posted the first week back after half term.
We hope you have a good half term and we look forward to seeing you all back on the 29th October for our next ‘Charter Day’. Please note that there will be a slightly later start (10.15am) for students for this day only.
GCSE & A-Level Results 2016
Back in the summer Charter celebrated another accomplished set of results:
- A*-C English and Maths: 68%
- 5 A*-B including English and Maths: 27%
- Ebacc: 27%
- Progress 8 (estimated): +0.5
We are delighted with our estimated Progress 8 score of +0.5. Progress 8 is a new government schools performance measure which aims to capture a students' progress from the end of primary school until the end of secondary school. Student's GCSE results are compared with the results of students in other secondary schools across the country with the same prior attainment.
Our progress 8 score shows that, on average, our students achieved half a GCSE grade higher than students with the same prior attainment in other schools.
A Level Results
Charter Academy are also celebrating all of our Year 13 students heading onto University with the majority of students heading to their first choice courses. We wish them all the best with the next stage of their academic journeys.
