Community classrooms

From Wednesday 6th January we will open our community classroom provision to the following groups of children:

Children of key workers

Vulnerable pupils including SEN pupils.

If you are a key worker and would like to request a place for you child in our community classroom provision, please contact reception.

Children in the community classrooms will be supported to complete all the online learning that children at home will be set.

Accessing on-line learning years 7-11 from 6th January

For your child to learn from home they will need the following:

Access to a laptop and internet connection

A quiet space for them to work from

A pen and paper

They should be ready to join their online lesson at their normal start time and will have a mixture of live lessons and online learning tasks set each day. The following link will help.

Free School Meals

The Government has requested that schools continue support pupils eligible for benefits-related free school meals who have to be at home for reasons relating to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Ark Charter issued FSM vouchers using “Wonde” to the value of £3.00 per day per child entitled to benefit related FSM when the above criteria is met until 15th January 2021. From 18th January 2021 the school swapped to the DfE scheme for vouchers from Edenred. These will be issued weekly in arrears. The minimum voucher value is £10 and vouchers are issued in multiples of £5 - if the amount due to you in any week is less than £10 or is not a multiple of 5 part of the payment may be held until the following week.

You will receive an email from with your voucher details on a Friday if your child has been absent due to specified COVID19 related reasons.
