Charter Remembers
At 10:45am on Friday morning, we had our service to commemorate Remembrance Day. Every adult and child in the Academy came outside and respectfully listened throughout the service, which included:
- Our Principal Student's Aara and Maheep read a piece of poetry followed by Mrs Ward reading Moyin's winning poem from our recent competition.
- Mrs Taylor stood with 3 of our student cadets Evan, Belle and Semilore, with Evan and Belle being responsible for carrying the wreath and laying it under the cross.
- A prayer was also read by Annie, the vicar from St. Luke's Church, and Mr MacPherson
- The Last Post being played on the trumpet
- A 2 minute silence at 11am which all staff and students observed so respectfully
- And lastly, a fantastic rendition of Vera Lynn's 'We'll Meet Again' by Deborah in Year 9.
It was a beautiful service and the students made us so proud with their impeccable behaviour throughout.
