Portsmouth Schools WorldWise Quiz
6 Geography GCSE students were selected to participate in the Portsmouth Schools WorldWise Quiz, competing against multiple private schools across the city. The 6 students were split into 2 teams of 3, 3 Year 10 students (Deyana, Divine and Sabiha), and 3 Year 11 students (Humairah, Ryan and Aymaan). The students were then quizzed on topics such as Coasts, Sustainability, Geography in the News, Field Work and so much more, being challenged with difficult questions throughout the entire experience.
Well done to the Year 11 students for doing their best during each round and answering difficult questions during the quickfire round! Also well done to the Year 10's who were given unexpectedly difficult questions during the quickfire round and answering those questions despite not knowing the answers to many of them!
Overall, the entire experience was great, even after being asked questions we didn't know as we're only 1/3 of the way through our GCSE coursework. My group did well and I think we were decent as we were one of the only Year 10 groups in the entire event. The Year 11's did well too so well done all around!
