Place2Be at the Jonathan Centre
Yesterday, 9 members of our Student Leadership Team and School Council were invited to visit the Jonathan Centre and take part in an exciting opportunity with Place2Be. Ark Charter Academy work closely with Place2Be, a mental health charity for children and young people, and we are lucky enough to have our very own Place2Be counsellor Miss McBride on site full-time!
Davina, Harriette, Aara, Daniel, Maheep, Daniella, Madison, Olu and Kelly were interviewed and filmed by Place2be discussing mental health and the issues young people face to raise awareness for Children's Mental Health week, which is between 5th-11th February 2024. The students were outstanding and Place2Be were so happy with their contributions! Keep an eye out for the footage in the next few weeks.
