Steve Hudsmith Literacy Awards 2021-22

We are delighted to announce Jess as our winner for the Steve Hudsmith Literacy Award 2021-22. This is an award given to a student who has consistently demonstrated Charter values (of determination, responsibility, independence, courage and respect) in their attitude to Literacy, often overcoming obstacles in the process.

There were many students nominated for awards (they will all receive 5 Charter points and a message home) , several students shortlisted (they will receive 10 Charter points and a message home) and four runner up winners, who have won a book token and Charter points, they are Lylie, Harry, Olivia and Harley.

Thank you very much to Steve Hudsmith (former colleague, friend and volunteer at Charter) who cares so much about our school and our literacy that he has generously provided this award. A reminder to all students, we are already looking out for possible winners for 2022-23, so keep working hard to develop your reading and writing skills, whatever the obstacles.
