On the 17th of October year 10 GCSE Music students travelled to Conway Hall in central London to join 285 other students for the annual Year 10 Music conference. 15 other schools across the Ark network were represented on the day, with students participating in a performance workshop of Africa by Toto and Bach's Badinerie, and putting many probing questions to Segun Akinola who composes music for Doctor Who.
Students at Charter were described as 'a pleasure and a credit to the school'
Our students said: 'It was a really valuable day, forming connections people we don't know and learning how to compose a piece of music from scratch. It was an eventful day with plenty to do and so much to get stuck into!'
All round an excellent day! Well done to Abbie, Kate, Ame, Dylan, Summer, Ireoluwa, Olwethu, Bailee, Tilly, Bianca, Ben, Emilia, Lily and Filip for your hard work and perseverance on the day.
